Mr. Tony Friar

Tony joined KPMG in 1984. Having spent over four years in the firm’s audit department, he joined KPMG’s Restructuring practice in 1989 and subsequently passed the JIEB insolvency exams in 1993. He specialises in turnaround assignments and insolvency solutions for under-performing businesses. Tony became a Director in 1997 and has been taking insolvency appointments since 1999. As an Associate Partner since 2008, he has been consistently involved in turnaround, business review and insolvency projects across a broad range of industry sectors as a senior member of the highly successful KPMG Restructuring team in Scotland. Has been involved in the realisation of the Dunfermline Building Society commercial property portfolio and in many property related restructuring and insolvency assignments in recent years. Sector Experience: Real estate, licensed trade, construction, manufacturing, dairy processing, distribution, retail and football.
