Raluca heads KPMG's EU Tax Centre – KPMG’s EU-based group that helps clients understand the complexities of EU tax law and how EU and international direct tax developments can impact European operations. The EU Tax Centre coordinates KPMG’s network of EU tax law specialists and collates information on local developments across the EU, including on how EU Member States implement EU and international initiatives, such as the OECD’s BEPS initiatives.
With over 15 years experience in EU and international direct tax law, Raluca has more recently focused on anti-abuse measures and transparency initiatives, including EU implementation of Pillar Two, EU anti-abuse legislation, substance requirements, EU Public Country-by-Country Reporting and EU Mandatory Disclosure Rules. Raluca also regularly represents KPMG in interactions with the EU institutions and industry groups. Before joining the EU Tax Centre, Raluca worked in KPMG’s financial services tax practice and spent three years in London advising institutional investors as part of the global operational taxes team of a large banking and financial services group.
