Kate is the Capital Markets & Digital Finance Sector Head for KPMG’s EMA FS Regulatory Insights Centre (RIC). Over the past three years at KPMG, Kate has been monitoring and understanding the impact of EU and UK regulatory changes such as Brexit, LIBOR cessation, MiFIR/MIFID II review and the growing regulatory focus on financial market infrastructure. Kate has also been closely monitoring the developing regulation of digital finance, especially in the area of cryptoassets and technology, where regulators are trying to balance the advantage of innovation with financial stability and investor protection concerns.
Prior to working at KPMG, Kate has over 10 years’ experience working in Operations and Compliance areas in global investment banks and also spent 4 years supervising large global banks at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
