Ed designs and leads complex strategic change, providing clients with a deep knowledge of global trends, innovations and best-practice gained from working in 30 countries and territories on over 60 occasions. His healthcare management consulting experience provides strategy, policy, and operational expertise, with a focus on care system and pathway design, reform and integration. He brings particular experience in hospital management, digital health, health equity and universal health coverage.
Ed also collaborates with a network of KPMG colleagues globally on a suite of health equity and access approaches in developing markets that support Universal Healthcare Coverage programs along with initiatives to strengthen healthcare service access, coverage and quality.
He qualified in medicine from Magdalen College, University of Oxford, and has over 20 years’ experience in clinical practice and management across the NHS and international health systems.
Ed is a respected healthcare leader, with notable awards for his innovative work, including the Royal Society of Medicine’s Tanner Medal, and the Royal College of Surgeons’ Margaret Witt Scholarship. He has extensive health policy and research experience with over 200 academic publications, and previously played a central role in pioneering global crowd-sourced collaborative health research networks.
